New, Colorful Paintings
Inspiration often comes from impending deadlines. In this case, I wasn’t sure if I would have my work back from my Exeter show in time for the Sheep Shearing, so I tried my hand at acrylics and a fun style I experimented with last year. So, inspired by the sheep shearing, I added a few more farm animals and local landscapes to my art collection!
North Andover Sheep Shearing Festival
Coming up this weekend will be the Annual North Andover Sheep Shearing Festival.
The festival draws in performers, vendors, and visitors from all over New England! Try your hand at creating your own painting, take a sample of silkscreened fabric, find the perfect gift for a special occasion.
We have been blessed with beautiful weather, but it looks like maybe a few showers this time… but don’t worry! We will have our tent!
If you can’t make it, be sure to check back for updated pictures to join in on the fun from afar.
A Few New Pieces
I have a bad habit for not uploading photographs of my recently completed paintings. These are all new since June.
Winter Shows!
Winter brings holiday art shows! I’ll be displaying a few of my pieces along with my tiny paintings and plates in Exeter and Portsmouth this month.
Exeter: Exeter Town Hall Gallery. Opening Thursday, December 3rd with the Exeter tree lighting festival. Open through December 20th on the weekends.
Portsmouth: Buyers Brokers of the Seacoast. Opening reception Friday, December 4th 6-8. Light refreshments served. Open during business hours during the month of December.
New Made to Order (MTO) Paintings
Many of my visitors have asked if I would ever paint replicas of my work and sell them – particularly the paintings that I did while in Italy. I am happy to announce that all my paintings that were previously not for sale or sold will now be available as “Made to Order” paintings!
Made to order paintings are original oil paintings, painted by me (Ashley), on the original size (or very similar) canvas. Check out my gallery of oil paintings here and simply send me an email at ashleypolson@hotmail.com if you are interested in purchasing a painting!

North Andover Sheep Shearing Festival!
We lucked out again this year with beautiful weather at the annual North Andover Sheep Shearing Festival. The sun was shining, the birds were out, and the festival food smelled amazing! Lots of creative kiddos came and expressed their creativity in painting tiny paintings and little masterpieces.

Beautiful Day at the Sheep Shearing Festival!
The weather was beautiful at today’s Sheep Shearing festival on the North Andover Common in Andover, MA. The sun was out, the sheep were adorable, and the kids were so creative with their original tiny paintings! I certainly hope I will be able to do this again next year, what a blast!
